Recently I attended my first wine tasting. Never having been a wine drinker I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have tried wine a couple of times in the past but didn’t care much for the bitter flavor. I have even purchased a very few bottles of wine, only to be used as an ingredient in several recipes that I enjoy. As a point of fact, I had never tried drinking these wines and they had been relegated to the role of supporting ingredient instead. Such had been my limited experience as a sommelier. Then, I attended my first tasting and found a new respect for the fruit of the vine.
